Our development expertise
The Class A self storage asset class outperforms other property types and the S&P 500, making it an attractive venture for MV Investment and our investors. In the last decade, the demand for self storage continued to outpace supply year over year. Today, self storage is a $39.5 billion industry, with just over 10% of US households renting a self storage unit. Increased demand is projected due to several factors, including older generations that are downsizing during retirement as well as Millennials who prefer storage units over larger, more expensive living spaces. Superior returns, strong resistance to a recession, and 80-90% occupancy across the board are just a few reasons that make this asset class an appealing and lucrative investment time and time again.
In 2016, Miller Valentine formed a team of industry experts to develop and build Class A self-storage in the Southeast and parts of the Midwest. The team’s depth and breadth of experience have led to consistent success, demonstrated by both strong operating performance and superior risk-adjusted returns upon disposition.
Our development experience combined with strategic partnerships has created significant expertise and continuous success in building quality investments that achieve consistently strong operating performance and returns.
