We are happy to welcome Avery Newman back to our team this summer after her semester studying abroad in Spain. Avery, who is studying Finance and Real Estate at the University of South Carolina, will report to Ben Shaffer. Her primary focus will be identifying new opportunities for Climate Controlled Self Storage (CCSS) facilities in the southeast and Texas markets, as she gains practical experience in commercial real estate development. Recently, Avery joined us on a tour of the first three facilities developed in the Charleston, SC market to gain insights into population density, competition from neighboring facilities, and available building materials.
We are also excited to have two College of Charleston students, Kalen Cure and Claire Brazzel, join our MV Investment team this summer. Kalen, studying Real Estate and Finance, and Claire, studying Real Estate, will report to Aaron Rowley. They will begin their term by receiving an introduction to the entire real estate development process. As the summer progresses, Kalen and Claire will participate in identifying new opportunities for Climate Controlled Self Storage (CCSS) facilities in the southeast and Texas markets. They also recently participated in the Charleston, SC market tour, which provided them with valuable insights into population density, competition, and building material options.
We are thrilled to have such a talented group of interns join our team, and we are excited to see the contributions they will make throughout the summer.
